Registration:
Early Bird Registration ends April 6

Cadet Early Bird: $55 (includes conference registration and banquet.
All cadets are required to attend the banquet)

Senior Early Bird: $20 (Registration only. Must register for banquet separately)

Standard Registration is April 7-April 18

Cadet Standard: $80 (includes conference registration and banquet.
All cadets are required to attend the banquet)

Senior Standard: $50 (Registration only. Must register for banquet separately)

Hotel Rooms for Breezy Point must be booked directly with the resort.

Cadets – once you register online, you must also fill out a CAPF 31 and have it signed by Capt Wolfgram or Maj Albright.
If you are under 18, you must also have your parents signature as well.
That document must be emailed in to Maj Carrie Niemann at carrie.niemann@mncap.org no later than April 20.
If you don’t complete this task, your registration will be cancelled.

0900-1700 Intermediate Training Leaders of Cadets (ITLC)

The Intermediate TLC is the second step in the TLC program and is targeted for those who have completed the Old TLC course or the New Basic TLC Course. For seniors who are looking to dive deeper into a knowledge of the cadet program or looking to assist their squadrons, Intermediate TLC is a critical need. Anyone who interacts with cadets, whether pilots, ground team leaders, squadron commanders, or logistics officer will benefit from a TLC.

First Aid 

This course is required to complete several Emergency Services SQTR’s.
There is a mission number for those attending this class. You must complete the online portion before you can take the in-person training and be qualified for the reimbursement.

Aerospace Education:

How much space is there in space?
Giving a new perspective. We will explore this question. I hope to give you a mind blowing look at this question. Come to Wing Conference to find out.

The Grand Canyon Disaster
In 1956 a mid-air collision of two commercial aircraft over the Grand Canyon and the ensuing investigation brought about the birth of modern aviation safety. This presentation will discuss the event and its impact not only on aviation, but how the lessons learned have been applied to other industries. (1 hour)

The Magnus Effect
The Magnus effect is an observable phenomenon regarding spinning objects and the resulting effect on the air around them. This presentation will discuss the Magnus effect and aviation, marine and even athletic applications. There will be a hands-on Magnus effect glider-build activity. (30 minutes)

“Out with the old, in with the new”
Come learn all there is to know about the new CAPR 60-1 Cadet Program Management.

New SDA Program
Come and learn about the new Staff Duty Analysis program. This is intended for officers, high level NCO’s, and senior members.

Advanced Cadet Leadership Seminar
Intended for Phase IV cadets. Come and discuss the state of the Wing with the Director of Cadet Programs.

CAC meet and greet. Come meet the CAC executive board and learn about how the CAC works, and why you want to be apart of it.

StellarX
Learn about the AFA’s newest program that CAP participates in. If you’re interested in STEM, or spacecraft, this is the program for you.

Communications:
“The Communications Enterprise” facilitates command & control of communication resources (people & equipment) from the Nat’l level to the operations level. We will discuss the 2018 wing communications plan and the 2018 HF plan & how to implement them at your squadron. We will also work on requesting equipment through the logistics system (ORMS).

Emergency Services:

Mission Review
Overview of last year missions. Including mission aircraft and ELT searches. How the SAR EVAL went and what we must work on. What’s happening on the VIRBs. 1hr

The SAR Competitions.
Who were the winners and what to do to get ready for the next competition? 1hr.

Super Bowl 52.
The unclassified version of what we did to support it. 30 Min-1hr.

What’s the problem?
Squadron ES directors, wing needs your help. 1hr.

Finance:
This class will provide unit finance training for new unit finance officers, unit commanders, and those who are looking for a refresher.

Inspector General:
SUI Made Easy.
Catch up with the IG team for the new regulations in the SUI program! We’ll be breaking down the SUI process, answering questions, and helping anyone who wants to succeed in their next SUI while showing off the new features of the CAPR20-x regs. Join in the fun!

Legal:
For Legal Officers only. Will discuss legal matters with in the Wing for the last year.

Logistics:
Come work on your specialty track rating.
Logistics will do the annual vehicle inspection plus answer any questions on a one to one basis while inspecting.

Operations:
What we have completed in 2017 and where we need more effort. How is Stan/Eval working? What do we need to do for our customer (you) to make things work smoother.

Personnel:
Our members love to be paid with thanks & recognition. Award nominations do not need to be difficult to write. Come learn some tips and tricks for creating award winning nominations so your squadron can celebrate at next years event.

Professional Development:
Recap of recent changes to the PD program and review upcoming date for the final application under the previous promotion system. Topics will also include a review of the PD specialty track with an emphasis on the forms and processes key to a successful PD program and demonstration of the PD specialty track module in eServices. The goal of the session will be to find at least one item to be recorded in a members PD record in e-Services and answer all questions on PD items.

Public Affairs:

Recruiting & Retention:
Growth as a Wing, as a Squadron, and as an RRO.
A recap of the past year’s growth of Minnesota Wing and at the squadrons, and recommendations for how to grow each squadron and personal growth for each RRO.

Safety:
Fundamental Investigating Officer procedures and proper Mishap reporting along with a review of the new ICL. Safety officers are encouraged to attend. This session is MANDATORY for group and squadron commanders.
