One of CAP's three missions is Aerospace Education.

Many of our prospective cadets come to us with an interest in flying.  Several of our senior members are pilots and CAP certified flight instructors.

We have an aerospace education class each month at our meeting and also bring AE to the greater community.

One of the optional programs within CAP is to earn the Rocketry Badge.  It takes time and dedication, but the results are gratifying and you get to wear probably the largest award a CAP cadet can on your uniform.

We also train our members in Flight Marshaling each spring in preparation for Blaine Aviation Days.  This local air show and fly-in gives us an opportunity to support our home airport and use a fun skill.

Senior Members are able to earn the Yeagar Award for excellence in aerospace education.  Indeed, we encourage each of our Senior Members to strive for this award.  One of our long standing members, Maj. Bill Menkevich, created Yeagar Training to prepare for this award.  It can be accessed here.
